The slide-in truck camper redesigned
Our patent-pending truck camper is designed and built in Roanoke, Virginia, at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
Hard-sided
Provides security and comfort for you, keeping wind, rain, and bears where they belong, outside.
Pop-up
The unique origami design is compact and aerodynamic for travel, then expands to provide a spacious and comfortable living space.
Elevated living space
A universal frame raises the camper floor above the bed rails, creating a wide platform like a flatbed. The extra floor area provides more room for you, the dog, and the kitchen sink.
Gear basement
The frame sits completely in the bed of your truck allowing you to close the tailgate, giving you a secure basement for all of your gear and a clear view from your backup camera. A floor hatch inside the camper allows access to the bed of the truck.
Customizable
Buy the camper as a shell and create the interior that works best for you.
Lightweight, durable, all season
Our construction method uses composite materials to create single structural components for the roof, panels, and base that are lightweight, durable, and have no thermal bridges, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.
We are now taking orders!

From the Founders
The idea of Wombat Camper wasn’t born overnight. It is the result of many years of experience as Architect and designers, travelers and builders.
Our travel has taken us to many diverse countries where we have had the opportunity to experience different ways of living and types of transportation.
Our professional skills and experience have allowed us to design and develop campers, which we have used to traverse Australian Outback roads and encounter North American climate extremes.
All of that experience together has resulted in a camper that is designed and built with the user in mind.
Cheers, Brad and Julie
